Test environment for your website
Keeping a test copy of your website is a vital requirement for modern websites.
They allow you to
- maintain and enhance your website without affecting your live website
- train new users
- test your content prior to production release
- apply and test SECURITY patches
I have noted SECURITY in capitalised letters as it is incredibly important to keep your website secure. If you are using a Content Management System (CMS) like Drupal their security team will periodically release patches. Their importance to your website may range from minor to critical. Additionally the maintainers of other modules used by your website will often enhance and secure their modules - which should also be applied to your website. Because websites are complex it is best practice to take a copy of your website, apply the patches to this copy, test and then apply the patches to your production site once everything has been tested and, if necessary, resolved.
To cover this requirement, Corvo Services is now offering separate hosting plans that are specifically for clients that already have a production environment, but simply need a test environment.

All hosting plans with Corvo Services come with cPanel, Shell access, daily local backups, weekly offsite backups (these remain on-shore) on Linux OS.
